Self-care can be a new soap or scent themed after your favorite games and characters... or it can be deliciously indulgent art and animation of your beloved OCs. Who am I to decide? All I know is both things are great ways to make your days a little brighter, and all the better when you can share that work with fellow fans. But to know more on that, you'll just have to read my interviews with CHOKKOmiilk and Bunnalien!
XIVFMN September 2025 Spotlight Interviews, Pt. 1: Erie Craft Collective & Faelich Studios
Part 1 of the September XIVFMN spotlights are two wonderful examples of finding support in community. Whether it's the creative duo team of Erie Craft Collective, or FaeLich Studio finding a home in the friends they've made in XIV, today's interviews touch on how community plays such a large role in creators' artistic journeys.
XIVFMN July 2025 Spotlight Interviews, Pt. 2: Misa Hino and Ursus Dice & Resin Crafts
Resin work will always have a special place in my heart, so I'm very excited to spotlight two wonderful resin crafters in the last part of our (belated) July interviews!
XIVFMN July 2025 Spotlight Interviews, Pt. 1: Kannter Art & The Ludens Atlas
Whether creating from close and deep within oneself, or exploring far-off places one might never see, to create what brings oneself joy is truest goal for any artist. And despite having two very different art styles, "joy" is a constant theme in the works of both Kannter Art and The Ludens Atlas in part one of our July 2025 interviews!
XIVFMN June 2025 Spotlight Interviews: Deckitout, IgnisKat, & Steelfeather Workshop
If you like little guys, this series of interviews is for you. Today we're admiring little guy keychains by Deckitout, little guy emotes by IgnisKat, and little guy plushies by Steelfeather Workshop - but even if little guys aren't your thing, this month's featured artists have plenty of other art and insights for our June interview series.
Inquiries of Art: Grievervsk
Painter, sculptor, makeup artist - Grievervsk's work could fit under many categories, and for him, that mix and meld of techniques that bring his visions to life is totally by design.
Inquiries of Art: Clinkorz
Clinkorz online discovered her love of laser art and etching in the long arc of her work in illustration, sculpting, and props-making. Her portfolio of work is a testament to how giving one's all to each project now builds the stepping stones for every new project later, with each finished piece of art better than the last.
Inquiries of Art: Luminis Candle Co.
When reflecting on the breadth of xer artwork, Gideon asked the question: "What about art with a meaning or message that people can smell?" The candles xey have created since as Luminis Candle Co. have, pun intended, lit a new fire in the XIV community.
Inquiries of Art: Charmwitch
I have long admired the inviting charm, the vibrant colors, and the joyful wonder in every expression in the artwork of Angelica Maria, aka charmwitch. After speaking with Angie for her interview, there was little wonder why such joy exudes from her work, for her art has ever been a beacon through her own personal journey.
Inquiries of Art: Meriadoc
What started as a quiet way to explore sculpting turned into a finely honed craft in Meriadoc's creative hands. It's little wonder that her adorable creations have stolen the XIV community's collective heart, and I was delighted to talk with her about that artistic journey.
